Downtown Baton Rouge Spotlight

Living in the capital city of Louisiana has been an adventure, and I would say that downtown Baton Rouge is a major reason for that. Between museums, eateries, and nightlife, downtown Baton Rouge is an excellent place to explore the Capital City. Let’s start with museums.

The U.S.S Kidd:

The USS KIDD is a World War II destroyer ship turned riverside museum is the pride of downtown Baton Rouge. Take a tour of the ship and its rich history in the Pacific, as it takes its permanent residence on the Mississippi River.

The Louisiana Arts and Science Museum:

Set in an old 1925 historic railway station, the Louisiana Art & Science Museum. Displaying history and art exhibitions from both the local and international spheres, all the way to studying the stars above, the LASM is perfect for the entire family to learn and enjoy.

The Louisiana State Museum:

The Capitol Park Museum Provides a panoramic exploration of the great state of Louisiana. The exhibits focus on the populated and diverse culture that shaped the state, specifically in the themes of history and industry.
